A difficult kanji should not require a tour through several programs. CenjiReader combines a manga reader, automatic text recognition, a Japanese dictionary, pronunciation and vocabulary tracking in a browser-based workspace.

Built on local tools and open resources
PDF rendering, OCR, dictionary matching and learning data are handled on your device. The app uses licensed resources including Manga OCR, Japanese tokenization and JMdict dictionary entries from Jim Breen and EDRDG.
Third-party notices provide attribution and license information. The privacy page explains what is stored and downloaded.
Feedback helps shape the reader
There is not a public contact inbox yet. If you found CenjiReader through a post or community discussion, share feedback in that conversation when its rules allow it.
Useful feedback includes your browser, device, what you tried, what you expected and what happened. Please leave out private filenames, manga pages and personal information unless you intentionally want to share them. Nothing is submitted from this page.
